Biotechnology Valley: The Science and Technology Hub of the Future
Biotechnology Industrialists’ Association (BİYOSAD) aims to produce innovative, high value-added products and services that promote human development through innovation. To achieve this goal, BİYOSAD is establishing the Biotechnology Valley within the Biotechnology Specialized Industrial Zone (BİOSB) in Istanbul. With the Biotechnology Valley project, BİYOSAD aims to establish one of the world’s leading biotechnology centers within the Biotechnology Specialized Industrial Zone (BİOSB).
Biotechnology Valley is a comprehensive project launched with the vision of creating an ecosystem specialized in the biotechnology sector. Strategically located in Tuzla, Istanbul, with strong partnerships between business, academia and government, our Valley aims to contribute to Turkey’s emergence as a strong player in the international biotechnology market. Our project will operate within an area of 2.7 million square meters and will include technology development zones, R&D centers, testing and calibration laboratories, patent offices, and specialized biotechnology schools.
We aim to increase our global export potential by promoting the domestic production of high value-added biotechnology products. As we explore the limitless possibilities of nature in the light of science, our priority is to guide industry and academia towards innovative ways of working together. Our mission is not only to respond to current needs, but also to create a positive impact for future generations by focusing on sustainable and collaborative work.
As Biotechnology Valley, our mission is to become a centre that enables breakthrough technologies in the sector; to host studies that provide social benefits and add value to science and business. To this end, we are committed to providing a safe, innovative and supportive business environment for all stakeholders in the sector.
Join us and become a partner in the process of transforming Turkey and the world into a leading biotechnology centre.

Biotechnology Valley aims to create a positive momentum in the national and local economy by providing employment opportunities both directly and indirectly. With the increasing demand for technology-oriented manpower, the aim is to retain qualified personnel in our country and attract experts from abroad to Turkey. In line with this perspective, supporting economic growth and contributing to sustainable development are among the primary objectives.

The biotechnology and healthcare organizations operating in Biotechnology Valley will enhance Turkey’s potential for self-sufficiency in the development, production and distribution of drugs and medical devices. These developments are expected to contribute to citizens’ access to more affordable, faster and higher quality healthcare services.

Strategic partnerships to be developed with Turkey’s leading universities and research centers are expected to bring significant advances in scientific research and educational processes. Through the university and vocational school to be established in the valley, permanent and innovative cooperation between academia and industry will be promoted. In this context, it will be ensured that academics, students and researchers are equipped with sectoral knowledge and practical skills and are prepared as future-ready individuals.
